Filter Digital have recently supported Crystal Palace Football Club in developing their stadium venue website by adding 360 degree tours of the event spaces available for hire within Selhurst Park.
Selhurst Park, home of Crystal Palace FC, is a unique multi–purpose venue capable of hosting a wide range of events. Creating its own identity was a crucial part of the club’s strategy in enhancing the revenue potential from the stadium. The website features content on the stadium, calendar of events and details of all the event spaces available for hire for all types of occasion. To better showcase the experience, CPFC asked Filter Digital to create additional 360 tours of all the rooms and spaces available for hire.
To create these images, our team at Filter Digital used the Matterport camera system to scan every event space. The camera not only captured visual imagery but also depth data. This data was then compiled into a fully navigational 3D model of all the spaces which can be rotated in 360 degrees. The images were then overlaid with additional information using a combination of text and images. The tours where then embedded onto the website, such as the Coppell 2010 Club Bar, providing fans and customers an exact view of the space they can enjoy as part of their event experience.
Using the Matterport camera system enabled us to fully deliver on the project brief. The Matterport is versatile allowing you to capture images from almost anywhere, produce a realistic virtual environment and create spatially accurate schematic floor plans.
Our experience tells us that Matterport 360 is a great online tool for any hotels, events venues or meeting spaces. If you think this might be beneficial to you, then don’t hesitate to get in touch to discuss your requirements.
